Resources for Access: Newsgroups

If, after checking the various Access web sites, you still have a question that hasn't been answered, you could always try posting a question in the relevant Access newsgroup. There are various guidelines that should be followed to help get an answer:
  • Never attach a file to a posting - some people have to pay for internet access. If you want a file looked at (and many people won't want to look at a file), place it on your web site, or else post it to a newsgroup that does allow attachments.
  • Try and phrase your question so that it is as understandable and as clear as possible. Most people who answer questions do so voluntarily, and do not expect to have it made any more difficult than it should be.
  • Do not use capitals all the way through - there is a Caps Lock key on your keyboard - please use it.
  • Do not multi-post (post the same article to different newsgroups separately) as it will probably only get answered in one newsgroup. Also, do not cross-post (post the same article to different newsgroups at the same time) unnecessarily.
